Cecil Calvert Champenois died in the plane crash shown in the above article on 10 August 1938. He was survived by his wife Tamnice Faye (Perry) Champenois, a son, Cecil Tolbert Champenois, and a daughter, Faye Eliabeth Champenois. His wife was a witness to the plane crash, as was also the pilot's sister, Miss Winifred Fletcher. His father, Harry Calvert Champenois, also survived him.
The "Talbert" referred to is Cecil Tolbert Champenois, son of Cecil Calvert Champenois.
